From simple brackets to composite monocoques.....
Tens of thousands of hours experience in Rhino3D (3,4,5,6,7,8,9wip) - working with NURBS and SubD models.
Creating new design, tooling from customer designs and surfacing from scan data.
Rhino SubD enables fast creation of complex shapes which are measurable and manufacturable.
We use Unreal Engine to visualize designs in real time.
With many years of experience, on numerous projects, we have seen many composite parts progress from concept through to final release.
On a number of occasions, we have been officially part of a projects design team (focussed on composites) from the start, contributing design effort via CAD or pattern making by-hand.
This has very effectively harnessed our decades of collective knowledge, of materials and manufacturing processes, to ensure parts meet their specified performance criteria as cost effectively as possible.

We have been making composite tooling for a number of decades now so have a reasonable understanding of what is required for a particular application.
Production volumes vary from one-offs to hundreds of parts with a specific tooling solution selected to allow maximum part performance at the lowest overall production cost.
Over the years we have produced tooling for many categories of competition car, road vehicles, as well as a few oddities too.

XWORKS manufacture high-performance composite parts using Hand-laid, Vacuum Infusion and Pre-Preg processes.
Selecting the right materials and appropriate process for each application to ensure optimal performance and cost effectiveness.
Our experienced team can manage the entire operation, from initial design and material selection all the way to final delivery.

Clients require parts which fit directly to a vehicle in a single operation.
Our motorsport experience began with the production of many hundreds of Subaru WRC mirror assemblies.
We achieved ‘Nismo Preferred Supplier’ status for supply to the GTR GT3 program.

An activity we are only occasionally asked to perform but something in which we are highly proficient.
Usually required for very short production runs where no jigging is available.
